  1.  I never had this as a win. I didn t expect a win. I anticipated a serviceable showing and semi avoidance of embarrassment. Instead, an inept team showed up in Gillette Stadium and proceeded to sling fetid feces onto an already dripping and stained resume. Resiliency, brotherhood https://www.falconsatljersey.com/keanu-neal-jersey-c-21.html, “battling.” It all means jack until points are scored and games are won. I want to see exactly 0 hype videos until this team earns the right to produce them. Hangover or not, the 2017 Falcons are just plain bad and I m not sure this ship will get righted this season. Kyle McClendon I’ve reached the pinnacle of apathy. No, not really, but things appear to be in worse shape than anyone expected. Forget a Super Bowl hangover, the Falcons are still passed out drunk. Let’s hope they can wake up and get back to functioning at a normal capacity. DW The first tenet of Buddhism teaches that life is suffering. The second tells us that suffering arises from within us. I’d like to add another being a Falcons fan. To be honest, I really can’t fault the defense much this year. They’re playing about how I thought they would. The offense, though, makes a dumpster https://www.falconsatljersey.com/desmond-trufant-jersey-c-20.html  fire look appetizing. Sark has no method to his madness and Ryan is missing throws that his 2016 version would have nailed without issue. I think this team has the talent to turn it around, I just no longer believe that they will. Fin. Dave Choate Being a longtime fan of the Atlanta Falcons and having to write about them daily makes for some confusing emotional states. On one hand, I was furious and sad and embarrassed after that game, but on the other hand, I can’t just swear and rant five times per day on The Falcoholic, lest you guys get sick of me in a real hurry. So you process and try to make sense of what’s next. The trouble is that I have no idea what’s next. This team is too talented to play like utter garbage on offense forever, but we’ve now seen three straight weeks of play that suggests this could take a while. With a surprisingly game Jets team up next, my expectations are nonexistent. I’m just hopeful the team will learn from their mistakes and show it on the field, rather than just talking about doing so. Kevin Knight This performance was an embarrassment to Atlanta Falcons football. It’s hard to overstate just how putrid Steve Sarkisian’s playcalling was throughout the game. He appears to be completely lost as an offensive coordinator and genuinely in over his head. It’s a shame, because I think there’s a sharp offensive mind in there somewhere, and Sark seems like a decent guy. But there’s no doubt that he’s taken this offense from historic to abhorrent in the span of six games. Sark has neutered the offense with his particular version of bland, predictable, and wholly unimpressive calls. Look no further than the jet sweep call on 4th and 1, which everyone in the world knew was coming. Simply pathetic. I don’t know exactly where the Falcons go from here https://www.falconsatljersey.com/robert-alford-jersey-c-22.html, but they’re trending down. The playoffs are in serious doubt at this point, and I’m not sure how much better the offense can be with Sarkisian at the helm. Which sucks, because I think the defense has shown flashes of improvement in 2017. The bottom line is that Quinn may have wasted a year of perhaps the most talented roster in the NFL with his insistence on bringing in a project at offensive coordinator. Let’s hope it pays off in the long run. Matt Chambers I don’t think anyone expected the Falcons to break offensive records again under Sarkisian, but I don’t think anyone expected him to demolish a prolific offense. The team had a chance to get it right after the bye week, and then another chance in the revenge game against a bad defense. Same result. I can’t really tell you what he’s trying to do LaRoy Reynolds Jersey, and I’m not sure he knows, either. The blame really falls on Quinn for hiring someone unqualified to run the offense. Torgo Yep, I’m looking hard at Sarkisian too. We get frustrated with the defense, but they have played well enough for the Falcons to win every game. This young defense has allowed 23 points twice and held the other four opposing offenses to 20 points or less. Whatever Sark is doing isn’t working. Last year’s offense AVERAGED over 30 points per game. This year’s offense has reached 30 points only once in six tries hitting exactly 30 against the Lions. Sarkisian needs to make significant changes and do it quickly, before the divisional games get underway. If he can’t, Quinn will need to make a significant change of his own. Caleb Rutherford I, like usual, will take a slightly different approach than the rest of the folks to this. First of all, I have been high on the Fire Sark train since yesterday. To me, an offense this talented should not be playing THIS poorly. I would almost guarantee you could pluck a moderately intelligent fan off of Twitter and they would’ve conjured up 7 points against the Patriots… ...BUT the players themselves are not executing the plans, either. The Patriots possessed the ball for nearly 10 more minutes, even though they only ran ~a dozen or so more plays than us. Matty missed a wide open Sanu in the end zone in the first half. The BONEHEAD penalties on defense continue. Players have to know what they can and can’t do. You think a coach is saying to a player, “You can probably hit Brady late if we get a pick, it’s fine” of course they aren’t. At some point you have to look at the players and ask, “What were YOU thinking?” And don’t you dare say the defense is blameless here either. The offense had 3 count ‘em 3 possessions in the second half. LITERAL PERFECTION in terms of scoring, not constant 99 yard hail marys from the offense in the second half would’ve still had us lose by 2. The Pats ran 4 minutes off the clock on their last possession to ice the game. Don’t even tell me the defense played well enough to win when the O only got 3 possessions in the 2nd half. The entire team sucks right now, and somebody needs to step up or we’ll be on the couch in January.
  2. The Oklahoma State football team continued to trend toward the top of both national polls this week, coming in at No. 11 in the Associated Press Top 25 and No. 10 in the Amway Coaches Poll, both of which were released Sunday. It is the fourth week so far this season that OSU 7 1; 4 1 Big 12 has held a top 10 spot in at least one of the national polls. The Cowboys have also now been ranked inside the top 15 of at least one of the Terrance Williams Jersey national polls for 16 straight weeks dating back to Nov. 13 , 2017. Oklahoma State is coming off an impressive 50 39 road win over No. 22 West Virginia in Morgantown. The win, coupled with the rest of the Big 12 s results, pushed the Cowboys into a four way tie atop the Big 12 standings. It also improved OSU to 5 0 in true road games this season. OSU is one of four Big 12 programs to appear in the polls this week, as the Cowboys are joined by Oklahoma No. 8/9 , TCU No. 10/12 and Iowa State No. 14/16 . The four ranked Big 12 teams are all currently 4 1 in conference play https://www.cowboysdaclub.com/jourdan-lewis-jersey-c-21.html, and are tied for first place in the league standings. This weekend, the Cowboys will continue their pursuit of a Big 12 title when they welcome their Bedlam rival https://www.cowboysdaclub.com/jameill-showers-jersey-c-22.html, No. 8/9 Oklahoma, to Stillwater on Saturday. Kickoff at Boone Pickens Stadium is scheduled for 3 p.m. on Fox Sports 1. ESPN s College Gameday program will also originate from Stillwater this weekend https://www.cowboysdaclub.com/duke-thomas-jersey-c-20.html, marking the sixth time that OSU has hosted the wildly popular national pre game show. Saturday marks the fourth time in the last six Bedlam Series games to be played in Stillwater that College Gameday has been on hand.
  3. Steelers safety Mike Mitchell not only wanted to defend his reputation https://www.steelerspitzone.com/maurkice-pouncey-jersey-c-48.html, calling himself the least penalized big hitter in the NFL, but he also defended at least one of the two highly publicized hits that knocked out star players from the Baltimore Ravens the past two games. Since 2014, Mitchell has been penalized four times for unnecessary roughness, once for roughing the passer against Kansas City’s Alex Smith two weeks ago and taunting. Two weeks ago, he was fined 48,620 for a hit on Kansas City’s Charcandrick West in which he wasn’t penalized and 9,115 for his late low hit on Smith. When Smith called the late hit flagrant, Mitchell said, “I am not a dirty player” the following day. “I have this knock of being https://www.steelerspitzone.com/lj-fort-jersey-c-49.html  this guy who is penalized so much,” Mitchell said. “I’ve gotten two penalties in over 50 games. I just hit people too hard so they associate me with getting penalties. But I’m not penalized. I got to be one of the least penalized big hitters.” Mitchell said he didn’t agree with the one game suspension without pay given Minnesota Vikings safety Andrew Sendejo, who knocked out Ravens receiver Mike Wallace and gave him a concussion last weekend. It was the second game in a Matt Galambos Jersey  row the Ravens lost one of the top players with a questionable hit. Quarterback Joe Flacco was knocked out of Thursday night’s game against the Miami Dolphins after a late blow to the head from linebacker Kiko Alonso. “Mike Wallace was a clear runner, a clear runner that ducked his head ,” Mitchell said. “You don’t want to see a concussion … [but] man https://www.steelerspitzone.com/steven-johnson-jersey-c-47.html, at the end of the day, you signed up to play football. But that’s all Sendejo did was make a football play in a football game. We all know what we signed up for.”
  4. Seahawks center Justin Britt practiced Friday, his first action since suffering a sprained ankle last Sunday against the New York Giants. We ll see what happens tomorrow, https://www.seahawksseastore.com/michael-wilhoite-jersey-c-50.html  but he did well today, coach Pete Carroll said Friday. Britt did not practice Wednesday or Thursday and is questionable to play Sunday at home against the Houston Texans. If he s unable to play Sunday, rookie Ethan Pocic will start in his place. Pocic played six snaps at center in Britt s absence versus the Giants , then continued to rotate left guard reps with Mark Glowinski when Britt returned to the game. If Britt plays Sunday https://www.seahawksseastore.com/joey-hunt-jersey-c-51.html, Pocic will start at left guard , Carroll said. He just continues to be unfazed, Carroll said of Pocic , Seattle s second pick of the draft this year. Today he got all his work at the guard spot, which was good. First group. So unfazed by it. He s so accustomed to moving so much over the years that it s just normal to him. Very unusual player with very unique qualities and it s really special that we got him. RELATED Seahawks react to Texans owner s inmate comment Running back C.J. Prosise did not practice all week after tweaking his ankle Sunday. https://www.seahawksseastore.com/terence-garvin-jersey-c-49.html He played two snaps before re injuring an ankle that kept him off the field since Sept. 24. Prosise, a second year player who is constantly bitten by the injury bug, is doubtful for Sunday. Cornerback Jeremy Lane groin/finger was a full Blair Walsh Jersey participant in practice Friday. Carroll said he ll be a game time decision Sunday. He jammed the end of two fingers pretty violently, Carroll said. He got banged up pretty good there on an unusual play. We ll see what happens. Pretty sore today.
